Respect for human beings
We are a company that provides economic and human development to more than 250 Guatemalans by generating decent and worthy jobs, abiding to the law requirements. We encourage our employees to work on their personal growth, leadership skills, education and family bonding through internal programs and opportunities.
In addition to our commitment of social responsibility with our processes, suppliers and workers, we work hard to improve and contribute to nonprofit associations that aim to improve the conditions and quality of life of people with limited opportunities.
Respect for nature
Respect for nature is a fundamental value and pillar since the beginning of Palki. We are constantly looking for improvements and updates that allow us to make our actions more sustainable through and guided by international certifications such as MPS.
In 2010We started and lead a reforestation project that allowed us to plant 45 hectares of pine trees, followed by 32 more hectares in 2015.
In 2014We were part of the Journey2Sustainability project, in which we guided and managed to make a local and productive business improve its sustainability protocols.
In May 2018We equipped the second productive farm with solar panels, transforming 60% of the electricity consumed in the company to clean energy.
In 2018 - We resume the MPS-ABC certification, following the agricultural production protocol.
In 2019The XI National Forestry Congress named us “Model Farm”. With this project we ensure to produce the amount of wood that we use in the process of exporting plants.
